From the Karelia region of Russia, Shungite is about 2 billion years old and is made up of noncrystalline carbon. It has long been used as a means of purification and protection. These stones are polished & quite large. They have a great feel in the hand making them the perfect stone to hold or rub. The two different size/shape categories are listed below.
